BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A 33-year-old Dorchester woman died after the car she was driving crashed inside the Sumner Tunnel overnight.
The Suffolk County District Attorney's office says three others were injured in the single-car crash that happened at about 3:30 a.m. All three passengers, who are also Boston residents, are expected to survive.
Investigators believe the car hit a concrete barrier before colliding with the tunnel wall near the Government Center onramp.
Other drivers stopped to help the woman and her three friends.
The crash is being investigated by the district attorney's office and Mass. State Police.
Additional details surrounding the crash, including the names of those involved, were not released Saturday morning. More details were expected to be released later in the day.
