"There's been an increase in shooting activity this year, and it's been all over the city. It's not confined to any one or two neighborhoods. The other night, we had South Boston, Mission Hill, and Roslindale. So that's a big geographic area. So there's a number of perpetrators doing different things at the same time, probably with illegal guns," Boston City Council President Stephen Murphy told FOX 25.

No arrests have been made. Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis told the Boston Globe that police have solid leads in three of the incidents.

Anyone with information about any of the four shootings is asked to call Boston police.
