1 charged with murder, 1 with firearms and drug offenses in connection with murder of Waltham teen

WALTHAM, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Two men were arraigned Wednesday in connection with the March murder of a Waltham teen.

A Waltham man and a Belmont man were both arraigned on charges relating to the March 20 shooting death of 17-year-old Tyler Zanco in a Waltham apartment complex, officials say.

Domingo Mendes, 22, of Belmont was arraigned on the charges of murder, carrying a firearm, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, and conspiracy to distribute marijuana. He was held without bail.

Taylor Poulin, 21, of Waltham, was arraigned on the charges of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, accessory after the fact to murder, carrying a firearm, attempt to commit a crime, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, conspiracy to distribute a class D substance, possession with intent to distribute a class D substance (2 counts), and a park zone violation. His bail was set at $250,000 cash and he has to wear a GPS bracelet and stay on house arrest if he posts bail.

They are both due next in court on July 29 for a pre-trial hearing.
