• Time-lapse video gives inside look at decorating the White House for the holidays

A new video posted on the White House official YouTube page shows the great time and effort that goes into decorating the home of the Commander in Chief for the holidays.

First lady Michelle Obama expresses her gratitude in the video for the 85 volunteers who come from places like Illinois, Oregon, and California to decorate the White House.

In the video, the volunteers explain that they are unpaid and pay for all their own travel expenses just to be a part of the unique job. They are charged with decorating between 18 and 20 rooms so that over 90,000 people from across the world can enjoy the beauty of the holiday season while visiting the White House.
