Billy Joel is coming back to Fenway

BOSTON — For the fifth straight year, Billy Joel will be performing this summer at Fenway Park.

The concert date is set for Friday, Aug. 10.

“We marvel at the fact that this will be the fifth consecutive year Billy Joel will be performing at Fenway Park, but we are not surprised,’’ said Red Sox President and CEO Sam Kennedy.

Presale tickets for Citi cardmembers begins on Saturday, Jan. 27 at 10 a.m. Tickets available to the public will open on Wednesday, Jan. 31.

The concert is part of Fenway's summer concert series. Other performers this summer include Zac Brown Band, Food Fighters and Journey and Def Leppard.
